In this blog, I seek to rediscover the freedom and joy that owning a bike brought me as a kid. As an adult, riding and maintaining a bike provides a gateway to the outdoors, a way to keep fit, an excuse to work with my hands, and a pursuit with tangible results. I haven't given much attention to bike riding in the last 20 years, and never to maintaining one.
I'm looking forward to learning through experimentation and failure. Lots and lots of failure.
If you're wondering what I'm up to at this moment, check out the now page.
"On a cycle the frame is gone. You're completely in contact with it all. You're
in the scene, not just watching it anymore, and the sense of presence is
overwhelming."
